Multicultural Logo
Over the years and centuries we have come from all parts of the world.
The Logo is shaped like a wheel. Each spoke is a culture, united in the hub representing New Zealand.
As the cultures are strengthened, linked to each other by understanding and respect, the unity of our nation will be assured.
The Society began in 1978 during preparatory work for the International Year of the Child the following year.
Our Aims
1. To foster cultural awareness and unity among the ethnic groups of the greater Auckland area
2 To experience and learn the customs and ways of life of the ethnic groups represented in the Society
3 To promote understanding and appreciation of the various cultures represented in the Society
4 To work together in partnership as a non-political organisation for the future multicultural development of New Zealand
5 To work together on cultural, educational, social and sporting events to further the above objects.
6 To promote and publicise the objects and work of the Society
7 To undertake other activities which may be conducive to the obtainment of the aboveobjectives.

Associate Membership $10 per year
Full membership is open to ethnic groups in the greater Auckland area. All cultures are welcome
Associate Members are individuals who do not represent a specific group, but who have an interest
